Hollywood, FL. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Sleep Group Solutions is showing pink support by launching Sleep Pink. Sleep Pink, a nationwide campaign to inspire women to think about healthy sleep, as well as raise awareness of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. The focus is on Oral Appliance Therapy, and with every Respire Pink Series a dentist fabricates, a free press release will be written announcing their participation in Sleep Pink, as well as Sleep Group Solutions will donate $5.00 to The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation for every Respire Pink sold through SGS.
Kelly Brown, M.D., assistant professor of Clinical Neurology at the Vanderbilt Sleep Center says, “Disrupted sleep and obesity, both common in sleep apnea, are also risk factors for developing breast cancer.” With a connection of sleep apnea and breast cancer, SGS is dedicating Sleep Pink to raising awareness of sleep apnea amongst women. “Sleep Apnea is not only a disorder which effects middle aged, overweight men.” says Dr. George Jones. “Sleep Apnea doesn’t discriminate.” SGS will also donate $5.00 for Breast Cancer Research every Herbst device sold.
During the month of October, Sleep Group Solutions will provide public recognition of dentists fitting patients with a Respire Pink device, a HERBST design oral appliance. The dentist will be featured in a nationwide press release showcasing their participation in Sleep Pink. Participating dentists will also receive a script pad as well as sleep masks and other sleep related items.
