CE Lectures on the Dental Treatment of Snoring and Sleep Apnea Include Denver, St. Louis, Eau Claire and Los Angeles, as Sleep Seminar Destinations
With over 80 Million people undiagnosed with OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea), it’s assumed more physicians would increase OSA screenings and treatment options for symptomatic patients. Interestingly enough, dentists are among the small group of practitioners stepping up, to take on the sleepy killer, OSA. Dental sleep medicine expert Dr. Daniel Tache lectures for Sleep Group Solutions, and instructs fellow dentists how to implement a proper sleep protocol, structured around evidence-based knowledge. Dr. Tache’s upcoming Dental Sleep Medicine lecture with Sleep Group Solutions will be on October 26-27th in Eau Claire, WI at Chmel Dental Laboratory.
Dentists from around the world are attending dental continuing education courses focusing on the dental treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Dental sleep medicine education company Sleep Group Solutions has instructed thousands of dentists on implementing a proper sleep protocol. Wisconsin Dentist and Dental Sleep Medicine expert Dr. Daniel Tache is no stranger to airway issues. Since 1974, Dr. Tache has been heavily involved in assessing patients’ airways, and continuing his education in snoring and sleep apnea. As the first dentist to become President of the Wisconsin Sleep Society, Dr. Tache has helped pave the way in dental sleep medicine, and continues to do so. “Evidence-based knowledge of sleep medicine, coupled with technology can markedly increase effectiveness of Dental Sleep Medicine Oral Airway Device therapy,” says Dr. Tache. During his lectures he presents numerous case reviews, and offers the step-by-step treatment plan.
Common symptoms and signs of OSA include acid reflux, irritability, morning headaches, high blood pressure, hypertension, scalloped tongue, and daytime fatigue. “In sleep apnea chronic, low oxygen levels in the blood stress brain and heart function,” explains Dr. Tache. By stabilizing the airway, oxygen is able to pass through without an obstruction, or blockage. Oral appliances, such as The Respire Blue Series, hold the mandible in place, and keep the tongue from creating further obstructions. Dr. Tache hosted a free webinar this week on the topic, to offer dental professionals a sneak peak of what to expect during his upcoming seminar in Eau Claire, WI on October 26-26th at Chmel Dental Laboratory.
To increase existing knowledge of dental sleep medicine, or to learn it for the first time, attending a dental continuing education course with Sleep Group Solutions is a great starting place.
