Mr John Nadeau

Mr. John Nadeau, Vice President

SGS Vice President John Nadeau has been actively involved in the dental sleep medicine community since 2002. He has worked with several hundred dentists in the field and helped many of them get started with sleep in their own practices. An expert on airway acoustic imaging and home sleep testing John authored the SGS protocol manual detailing the steps-by-step process involved in taking a patient from initial screening through diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. John’s passion for dental sleep medicine comes through strongly in his lectures and he has been an invited guest instructor at many dental meetings and teaching facilities across North America.


Dr. Jeff Horowitz SGS Courses

Dr. Horowitz, founded the Carolina Center for Advanced Dentistry in 1992. Dr. Horowitz has dedicated himself to continuing education, earning him Mentorship status at the prestigious Kois Center for Advanced Dental Studies, and fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Dr. Horowitz is also a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.


Dr. Barry Freydberg SGS Courses

Dr. Barry Freydberg, a 1968 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry was a full time practicing general dentist, until recently, where he now spends most of his chair-side time practicing dental sleep medicine in Illinois and Arizona. He says “In my senior practice years, sleep medicine is new and fascination, physically much easier than general dentistry and more rewarding. And, much less stress and more lucrative.”


Dr. Damian Blum SGS Courses

Dr. Damian Blum has trained and studied under many of the top clinicians in the world for the past 30+ years. He began his journey toward becoming a dentist as a volunteer at the Sinai Hospital Dental Clinic. After graduating from UMBC with a BA in Biology/ Psychology, he studied at Boston University’s School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 1983. In the same year, he opened the doors of a new practice in 1987 in Ellicott City.


Dr. John Carollo SGS Courses

A native of Newark, Dr. John Carollo has lived in New Jersey his entire life. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He has maintained his current practice in Florham Park for more than 30 years during which he has built an impeccable reputation in the community.


Dr. Jason R Doucette SGS Courses

Dr. Jason R. Doucette is a Nevada native that was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. Further pursuing his education in 1991, Dr. Doucette ventured north to Reno where he attended the University of Nevada, Reno and received his bachelor’s degree of science in 1995. He then attended Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1999.

Dr. Anjoo Ely

Dr. Anjoo Ely is a graduate of the University of Michigan Dental School 1997, one of the best in the country. She has been a dentist for over 20 years, and has been through several post-graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving her DDS degree. Dr. Ely is a Member of the American Dental Association. Michigan Dental Association, and she is now a diplomate with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.


Dr. Dan Tache SGS Courses

For 16 years, Dr. Tache’ was in private practice in Houston, TX and served as a guest lecturer and assistant clinical professor at the University of Texas Dental Branch. During that time, he trained dentists in the field of temporomandibular dysfunction and orofacial pain. In 1999, he moved to Wisconsin and has placed the emphasis of his practice on the diagnosis and treatment of orofacial pain and TMD in Appleton, Green Bay and Manitowoc.


Dr. George Jones SGS Courses

Dr. Jones has served as a consultant and evaluator for several dental manufacturers and maintains a private practice in Sunset Beach, NC. Over the years he has been featured in several of the local newspapers. He is an Instructor for Sleep Group Solutions, and has lectured throughout the United States to Dentists on how to identify and treat patients with snoring and Sleep Apnea.

Dr. Shah is one of the few sleep apnea dentists that limits his practice exclusively to the treatment of sleep apnea and snoring. As a successful cosmetic and dental surgeon, Dr. Shah realized the importance of this life-saving treatment when he first treated his own family members, and himself, with oral appliance therapy. His interest was further spurred by his on-going work with neurologists from the Stanford University School of Medicine Sleep Disorders Clinic.

Dr. Mier has comprehensive training and experience in TMJ disorders, orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine.
