Robert Brewer, DDS, knew he was going to be a dentist before he even entered high school. Today, delivering amazing smiles to his patients is something he never tires of.
“The dentist I saw as a child was a character,” Robert remembers. “He was funny and kind; he listened to me, and never scared me. I loved going to the dentist! In eighth grade I got to shadow him for a week, and he even let me develop x-rays. I was the coolest kid in school!”
Robert completed his education at the School of Dentistry at Ohio State University, and subsequently bought out the practice of the same dentist he had so admired. Robert and his wife Teri felt that Upper Arlington was an excellent place to raise their two sons, Rob and Jack, and there were plenty of childhood friends still living in the area, so the decision to settle down was an easy one.
Today, Dr. Brewer’s Columbus based practice is flourishing, and the dentist is looking for more ways to give back to the community. “I always buy ads in all of the school publications,” he notes, adding “I’d like to start donating to charities supporting Alzheimer patients and dementia research.”
Dr. Brewer says the best part of his job is still seeing the amazement and happiness on the faces of his patients when their smile is revealed. “I love what I do for a living, I love the artistry of dentistry, and I love how the results affect people,” he comments. Robert and his Wife Teri enjoy going out for dinner or to the movies on days off, and Robert spends spare time tinkering on cars and attending local classic car events.
Dr. Brewer is certified by the Northeast Regional Board and the Clinical Laser Institute, holds certification for Invisalign, Lumineers, and CEREC and is a member in good standing of the following associations:
