Dr. Crystal Brickhouse is proud to serve the Washington Metropolitan area at Watkins Park Family Dentistry. She is known for her gentle and gifted hands as well as her relentless pursuit of excellence. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland.
She is highly devoted to community service and started an initiative entitled “Healthy Smiles are Worthwhile.” To date, she has spoken to over 6,000 students about the importance of oral health care. Dr. Brickhouse has volunteered at Mission of Mercy dental clinics in Virginia, Washington, D.C. and Maryland. She has also traveled on mission trips to Peru and the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Brickhouse is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Maryland State Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Society. As a clinician, she is committed to continuing education. Dr. Brickhouse regularly attends dental conferences and courses that far exceed the minimum requirements for dental licensure in Maryland.
She is a woman of faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. Currently, she serves as a mentor to students in the College Ministry, a healthcare member of the Global Missions ministry, and a small group leader in the Young Adult Ministry.
Even with her busy schedule, she still finds time to enjoy many hobbies. She has completed a half marathon and other charitable 5k races. She also loves baking, reading, and traveling.
